Amcrican Education Group (AEG) asked us to write and design a brochure for their Lexis Preparatory Schools. Sallie worked with AEG and Lexis staff to craft a message aimed at prospective parents, promoting all the key differences that a Lexis education could make for students.

We laid out an attractive presentation of text and images in a tri-fold brochure. An inserted sheet of additional academic information was added later to the package.

Aquinas College sends out an annual fundraiser mailing to its alumni. Working with their printer, we created a  mailer which used variable data printing to customize the message, photos and text for each individual alum based on their experience at Aquinas.

The attractive cover design has a custom feature photo, set up with fourteen different variations of academic and athletic themes. The interior layout featured a personal appeal from one of five department heads, again versioned to match the alum. The salutation was also set up to contain the alum’s name.

Writeshop Primary is a three-book curriculum series from Writeshop, Inc. which introduces young children to the steps of the writing process using engaging activities, crafts, and picture books.

Sallie’s work on editing the text benefitted from a combination of her background as an educator as well as being “fresh eyes” seeing the author’s manuscript. David collaborated with the Writeshop staff to create a fun, attractive, and helpful presentation of the content. David created illustrations to aid instructors in creating the craft projects. With the additional help of another illlustrator who specialized in a whimsical style, a color-coordinated set of covers were created for Books A, B, and C.

We were pleased to help WriteShop create an environment that promotes a joy of learning in young students which helps them experience success as they develop the ability to write.

Bright Ideas Press was looking for a new design for their web site, and wanted to add some new features to create more of a sense of community among their customers. We developed the new site in WordPress to provide them with the features they wanted plus new flexibility and control for their staff.

Their old site had a vast number of pages for products, set up in a static page format. The new setup allows for products to be diplayed in categories, with the benefit of a product listing being able to appear in more than one page while existing in one data file. A new blog is part of the site allowing the staff to contribute news and information about products and matters of their industry. A forum is also developed for discussions about many topics.

All created in an attactive interface featuring a manilla folder as the theme.

Here are a few advertisements we created for TruthQuest History, a Christian history curriculum. We re-created their catalog recently, and gave their advertising a fresh update based on elements from the catalog design. Shown here are a couple print ads and a web banner ad in the new look.

Great Lakes RPh. provides quality pharmacist relief for hospital and retail pharmacies in Southwest Michigan. They wanted a simple one-page web site to promote their services. We provided them with an easy to maintain site which they could update themselves using WordPress. Custom content fields were implemented to allow easy text changes without disrupting the design. We also provide a very simple “all you really need to know” user guide with our web site products. It’s all part of our commitment to make things easy to use so our clients can focus on getting things done.

And in case they want to expand the site in the future, it’ll be a snap to do it. We design with the future in mind.

Paper Moon Decorating approached us to create a web site for them. A local painting and wallpapering team of “two meticulous women” needed a web presense to help promote their services.

We collaborated with them regarding the most important points about their business. Sallie then wrote the text and David worked with some color preferences to create a design which combined basic information with some photos of their work. A testimonials page was added to help sell their skills and professionalism.

And they can add and change content because it’s a WordPress site.

(We also vouch for their meticulous nature. They’ve done a great job on some of the rooms in our house as well.)

David created this web site for Alexander’s Militaria, a division of an antique sales company who wanted to promote their militaria memorabilia online.

Created using WordPress, the custom template design allows the client to showcase war memorabilia under various events, with pricing and contact information. Adding an item is easy: write a post about an item, choose one or more categories for it to fall under, upload a photo for the intial thumbnail image, and if desired add more images to be shown in an extended post to be accessed by a “more…” tag.

It’s a simple “inventory” system which puts all the control in the client’s hands, making it easy to add and remove merchandise when needed.

We combined supplied text and images of Phillips projects with stock photos of engineers and staff to design this attractive eight-panel brochure for Phillips Civil Engineering of Orange Park, FL. The brochure opens to a gatefold which opens to a four-panel spread. This project was subcontracted from their marketing agency.

American Education Group asked us to create their 2008 holiday card. We came up with a clever concept which played off their “A+” brand mark. The “A” played the role of a Christmas tree, while the “+” was bright star in the sky. Yes, feel free to hum “Christmastime is here” if you so desire.

We also came up with an interior message which allowed their core values acronym of EPIC! to be featured — Excellence, Passion, Innovation, Courage, ! (It’s that important).
